What's this all about?

This page allows you to create your own documents within the NZMeccano web site, for all to see, and of course to read the documents created by others!

I have no idea how many different uses there might be for this, but some of the ones that come to mind include Model plans, Hints and Tips, Opinions, Reviews, News about Meccano... there must be many other categories...

This is one of those documents, to show what can be done...

Anyone can read the documents that are created, but you must log in to create a new document or edit one you've already written. This is purely to ensure that we have some control to stop the site being abused by lunatics writing spam, or writing something that might get us into trouble for whatever reason. If you have already logged in to the "Meccano Wanted" or "Gallery" section of this website, that login will let you in here too.

If you don't yet have a user name for this page, create one by clicking on this paragraph.

Please have a go -- read some of the documents listed below or log in and write some new ones for everyone else to read!

Hi All,

This is a wonderful idea! Thanks Charles! Now my query. Any body has any idea on how to take apart a E15R and put it back together again? I would dearly love to use my recently acquired motor in my next model. TIA.

P.S. Does this log in work for the 'mugs' gallery as well?

Reply: Geoff is the master of the motors. Ask him on Spanner. But what would be great would be to take lots of photos and document the process on here, which a lot of people would be interested in...

Well now, another Meccano resource! Hopefully there will be enough to make it all worthwhile for Charles efforts. It is especially appreciated by those of us far from the Meccano mainstream as one can never get too much information relative to our hobby.

Just as long as Spanner remains the primary source of info, this would be an ideal forum for prolonged discussions of Meccano related and non Meccano discussions.

Reply: Hi Brian, thanks for that. This isn't a forum, and is not really intended for "discussions" as such. It's a repository for information that people might want to refer to in the future. Spanner is a transitory mailing list, where discussions take place (amongst those people who are Spanners in the first place -- many choose not to be). I can imagine that discussions on Spanner, when they have run their course, could be usefully distilled into a document on this site containing the interesting links and images that have been mentioned. That would be a great use of this area.

It's a good idea.

Reply: Thanks! You're more than welcome to write in French, of course, if you wish...

Charles,
As I've rather unforgivably failed to submit a note of appreciation for the next NZFMM mag, this is a belated message of congratulation once again re the Christchurch Convention. It was fantastic. Never have we seen anything like it in terms of attendance and superb organization. Please pass on to all folk concerned in any way whatsoever with it Mary's and my sincere thanks for a wonderful Meccano weekend.
Regards, Graham.
