What's this all about?

This page allows you to create your own documents within the NZMeccano web site, for all to see, and of course to read the documents created by others!

I have no idea how many different uses there might be for this, but some of the ones that come to mind include Model plans, Hints and Tips, Opinions, Reviews, News about Meccano... there must be many other categories...

This is one of those documents, to show what can be done...

Anyone can read the documents that are created, but you must log in to create a new document or edit one you've already written. This is purely to ensure that we have some control to stop the site being abused by lunatics writing spam, or writing something that might get us into trouble for whatever reason. If you have already logged in to the "Meccano Wanted" or "Gallery" section of this website, that login will let you in here too.

If you don't yet have a user name for this page, create one by clicking on this paragraph.

Please have a go -- read some of the documents listed below or log in and write some new ones for everyone else to read!

Does anyone have the instruction booklet for the Meccano ferries wheel 8258?
My email is pinkbitz21@yahoo.com.au

Hi there, we have a set from one of my older sons 0530 that he lost the instructions for. I can’t seem to locate it anywhere. Can someone please point me in the direction where I can find one please?

The first thing to do is wash everything in soapy water. You will be amazed how dirty the water gets (Yuck!) even after washing parts that look reasonably clean! Dry thoroughly!! Then use cheap furniture spray polish. There are many manuals in the Gallery, if you join the rust bucket section, you can chat, make friends all round the world, and learn a lot!!

I have been given a 1947? No.10? Meccano set in rather poor condition. Needs a good cleanup and a repaint job (very reluctant to repaint).Suggestions on how to remove light rust and other muck without too much damage to the paint surfaces.
Question 2. How can I obtain instruction sheets for say a No.2 set of more or less the same vintage of my set. What I am looking for is very simple instruction for my 2 young grandchildren to follow. any help will be appreciated.

I can set you up on Rust Bucket but I need your email address. Contact me : richardcyclist at hotmail dot com
