Peter      (at 12:10pm, Sat 8th Jun, 19)

I have a Mamod SP3 steam engine that was bought for me by my dad in 1982. We used it once, then it was reboxed and put away. I've just found it and have a couple of questions, so hopefully someone can help.

First is that the whistle is at the front and the safety valve is at the back. This is how it came out of the box from new. Is this a mistake or common?

Second, is this whistle connected internally by a wire, as when I unscrewed it there seems to be a wire or something hampering its removal.

Finally, the Mamod solid fuel box which came in the box the engine came in has a stamp in it dated 1982, is this common?

I'm happy to supplement photos if need be. This is a complete used once in original box sp3 in mint condition.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Peter

Hi. Just new here, but am hoping someone may be able to help me. Trying to find instructions for the multi model kit 3501 of a bicycle. I'd really appreciate it if someone could send me a link, or I'd be happy to pay costs for copying and post.
Cheers, Tony
