I found some Universal Couplings in a large lot of Meccano which I purchased a long time ago. Two were particularly nice ones. The shouldered bolts had coned ends which met in the middle of the spider. The lot included parts from the period when the Supermodel Leaf;ets were first published. Unfortunately, I put them in a safe place and forgotten where.
I made the model some time after getting these parts and found it very satisfactory. I had problems fitting in an E20R and with the length of the sleeve pieces (which changed soon after the publication of the leaflet). I did, of course, have a supply of the dome headed bolts needed to lock the gear change but you could probably use modern Allen ones.

I think it is not the numbers of pics that you put up that is interesting. More the quality and not a lot of them without sharpness.

I have requested several times to change my gallery picture.It has not happened and since then I have added more than 200 pictures to the gallery and my numbers have not changed. I should have close to 700 pictures by now. I will be adding many more and updating when I have more time to change things.
