This way not only I avoided bending, but I also could reduce the amount of plates needed. Of course the were no #196 flexible plates on a 6-set, but I very seldom build the models 100% as per instructions. I really enjoy it to improve them. Notice the (very useful) Metallus strips with unusual lengths.
