The first thing I did before even starting to study the instructions, was to check the feasability of the triangle. The sides are 24 and 40 spacements long, which requires 46,7 spacements for the hypotenuse. I decided to give it a try, since the free play at all the screwing points may compensate the difference to 47 spacements. For this model I decided to use strickly the content of the set, with the exception of bolts, nuts and washers. Since this parts tend to get lost (specially on carpets), they probably were very often replaced by ironmongery goods (5/32" whitworth standard).
