Mick Burgess - Thames Trader Tipper Lorry (NSR)
An articulated tipping lorry was illustrated in the 1962-1969 Meccano instruction manuals as Model 8.5 shown in Light Red/green parts.
The overall model seemed too cumbersome to build, though it did have a good Thames Trader likeness, so I reworked the cab unit into a short wheelbase Tipper.
The model steers and tips, though motorisation was impractical.
My model is constructed in the same original Light Red/Green parts.
